Lamai Beach Hotels

Lamai beach and town is a smaller and slightly more sedate version of Chaweng. In recent years Lamai has upgraded its image and now is a much cleaner and fun town and much more family friendly. Lamai beach itself is about 20 metres in width most of the way along and reaches about 2 kilometres. The sand is golden and warm and the entire beach is fringed with palm trees. The water at Lamai beach is a little deeper than the neighbouring Chaweng. It gets deep rather quickly and can have some stronger currents so you do need to be an able swimmer in choppy seas.

The area of Choengmon Beach on Koh Samui is quite a newly developed area of beaches that is proving extremely popular with the traveller that wants to stay in more upmarket accommodation. There are a huge variety of travellers that come to Samui, some are budget travellers and backpackers while others come with huge budgets for the most luxurious hotels.

Bophut Beach Hotels

Bophut Beach itself is large in area and is sometimes difficult to actually separate from Big Buddha and Maenam beaches. The beach in this area is very unspoilt and has far less bars and entertainment built up on the beachfront.
